In my art project "Ghost fleet" I build miniature ships of material I find around me, like old soda cans, thrown away pieces of plastic, wood and scrap metal. I construct these vessels so they actually float - but then I sink them, thus enlisting Nature itself as my co-artist. This "slow art" process takes 1-4 years and when the vessel has turned into a shipwreck I salvage it to give it new life as an art object - a Ghost Fleet Sculpture.
